Rugby Tavern London

Welcome to the Rugby Tavern, Bloomsbury

A friendly, traditional pub in the heart of London

You'll find us in a very central location, just a short walk from the British Museum, London’s theatre district and the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras. We're a lively, bustling pub used by office workers, Bloomsbury residents and tourists.

Inside, our traditional-style bar serves an excellent selection of Shepherd Neame lagers and ales, guest ales, distinctive international lagers, and a great selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks. We're proud to say we're featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and we're accredited by Cask Marque.

Outside, there are tables and chairs for you to enjoy a drink in the warm sun and watch the world go by...

If you're looking for good food, you'll find it here - we serve everything from light bites to more filling traditional pub food. We have a daily specials board, a children's menu and a good selection of vegetarian dishes, and all our dishes use locally sourced ingredients from specialist suppliers. Our Sunday roasts are particularly popular, so book your table today!

As our name might suggest, you can watch a good game of rugby on the big screen TVs here. But we show all major sporting events, from horse racing to football, so check our Facebook page to see what's coming up next!

With so much going on, why not come over and join in soon!

What our customers have said on TripAdvisor

Really friendly people running a traditional pub with a mixture of locals and visitors. Had one of the best pints of Guinness I've had in ages. Didn't try the food but will next time. Had some rather appetising scotch eggs and pork pies behind the counter.

Epicureously

I briefly popped in on Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming the staff were, it had a country locals pub feel to it (in a good way) and this is a rare thing in Zone 1. Bartender knocked up a very delicious (and very spicy) bloody mary. Ended up chatting with the guy and girl behind the bar for over an hour. Will return.
